Game Recap

The Raiders rolled to 1-0 in the Region Friday night with a huge 14-7 win over the Westminster Wildcats. The Raiders go on the board early with a 8 play drive capped off by a Winston Kelly 1 yard run.

The game then became a defensive battle as Jackson Vest and Garret Barrileaux had huge nights. Vest tallied 16 tackles while Barrileaux had 13 tackles and 1 sack.

The Wildcats got on the board in the 3rd only to be answered by Sam Kimel’s 61 yard end around TD to put the Raiders on top 14-7.

The Raiders rallied defensively the entire 4th quarter to get the offense the ball back with 5:02 left in the game and pulled off a 12 play drive to seal the victory for the Raiders.

Levon Fletcher accounted for 112 yards offensively. Graham Copeland accounted for another 71 on the ground. The Raiders will travel to Madison Academy next week for their 2nd region contest of the season.
