Private School Swim and Dive Meet

Fifteen swimmers and one diver participated in the third annual Private School Meet in Madison on the 21st.  Randolph’s swimmers swam fast and smart with many obtaining personal best swims, Sectional Cuts, or State Qualifying Times.  Swimmers who swam a best time were Lillian Sowash(50 free and 50 fly), Sasha Young(50 free and 50 breast), Warren Towry(50 free and 50 fly), Elizabeth Rainey(50 free and 50 fly), Jackson Davis(50free and 50 fly), Matthew Tao(50 free and 50 back), Sophie Byers(50 fly), Mary Coomer(50 free and 50 back), Sydney Scoggins(50 breast), Victoria Moffet(50 breast), Kelli Janssen(50 breast), Emily Eichstaedt(50 breast), and Jackson Rogers(50 breast).  Sectional Cuts in the 50 free were made by Mary Coomer, Abby Amis, Jackson Rogers, Matthew Tao, and Warren Towry.  Abby Amis also swam a Sectional Cut in the 100 free.  Delaney Wood swam State Qualifying times in the 50, 100, and 200 free, along with Sydney Scoggins(50 free), Elizabeth Rainey(50 free), and Jackson Davis(50 free).  Swimmers on the Girls A and B 200 Medley Relays(Elizabeth Rainey, Kelli Janssen, Delaney Wood, Sydney Scoggins, Mary Coomer, Victoria Moffet, Sophie Byers, and Emily Eichstaedt) swam a State Qualifying Time.  A State Qualifying Time was also achieved by Sydney Scoggins, Emily Eichstaedt, Sophie Byers, and Delaney Wood in the 200 Free Relay.  In that same event, Mary Coomer, Sasha Young, Lillian Sowash, and Abby Amis swam a best time on the B Relay.  Our boys swam a State Qualifying time in both the 200 Medley Relay and the 200 Free Relay.  They were Jackson Rogers, Matthew Tao, Warren Towry, and Jackson Davis.

In his first dive meet representing Randolph School, David Clary, came in second place in the 1 meter diving competition.  Congratulations goes out to David for his ability to make his dives look so effortless.  Also, congratulations to all the swimmers for obtaining the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the season.

Come out on the 28th of September, and cheer on the Randolph Swim and Dive Team as they compete in Huntsville, at the new pool in the Grissom Invitational.
