Boys Varsity Swim and Dive, Girls Varsity Swim and Dive · Raiders swim at the new Huntsville Aquatics Center

Eighteen swimmers represented Randolph at the Grissom Invitational Swim Meet on the 28th of September, here in Huntsville.  They swam fast and with a lot of determination.  Eight swimmers swam in an event for the first time this season.  View photo slideshow in Vidigami

The swimmers were Emily Eichstaedt (200 IM, Sectional Cut), Sophie Byers (100 Fly, Sectional Cut), Sasha Young (100 Free, Best Time), Lillian Sowash (100 Free, Best Time), Mary Coomer (100 Back, Best Time), Kelli Janssen (100 Breast, State Time), Warren Towry (100 Free, Best Time), Jackson Rogers (100 Breast, Sectional Cut), and Matthew Tao (100 Back, Sectional Cut).

Cal Shockley swam best times in the 200 Free and 500 Free (State Times in both), Jack Maurer swam best times in the 200 IM (State Time) and 100 Fly (Sectional Cut), Ethan Wan swam a best time in the 100 Fly (State Time), Victoria Moffet swam a best time in the 50 Free(Sectional Cut), Jackson Rogers swam a best time in the 100 free (State Time), Delaney Wood swam a best time in the 50 Free (State Time) and 100 Back (Sectional Cut),  and Matthew Tao swam a best time in the 50 Free (Sectional Cut).

Sydney Scoggins (50 Free), Cole Strankman (50 Free and 100 Fly), and Elizabeth Rainey(100 Back) swam both State Times and best times in their events.  Sydney Scoggins also swam a Sectional cut in the 100 Free.

Ethan Wan, Roger Jackson, Cal Shockley, and Matthew Tao swam a State Time on the Boys 200 Medley Relay.  Emily Eichstaedt, Kelli Janssen, Cole Strankman, and Sydney Scoggins swam a State Time on the Girls 200 Medley Relay.  In the Boys 200 Free Relay, Jack Maurer, Matthew Tao, Warren Towry, and Ethan Wan swam a State Time.  Also, on the Girls 400 Free Relay, Delaney Wood, Elizabeth Rainey, Abby Amis, and Cole Strankman swam a State Time.  Congratulations to all these swimmers for an outstanding job getting best times and swimming different events for the 2017 season.

Randolph’s Swim and Dive Team will compete in the Panther Invitational Swim and Dive Meet next Thursday, October 12th at the new Huntsville Aquatic Center.  The meet begins at 7:00PM.  Come and cheer your fellow students on.
