Randolph’s Swim and Dive Team had a super showing at the Panther Invitational Swim and Dive Meet last Thursday night. We had six swimmers, six relays , and three divers place in the top eight. Cal Shockley and Ethan Wan swam their first individual 6A-7A State Cuts of the season. Several swimmers swam their best times of the season. Kudos to all our athletes for all your hard work.
The swimmers who placed in the top eight were Cal Shockley-1st 200 Free and 3rd 100 Free, Ethan Wan- 2nd 100 Fly and 1st 100 Back, Jack Maurer-6th 50 Free and 8th 100 Back, Jackson Rogers-7th 50 Free and 8th 100 Breast, Ryan McNeill-8th 50 Free, and Victoria Moffet-8th 100 Breast.
Swimmers on the Women’s 200 Medley Relay were Emily Eichstaedt, Kelli Janssen, Abby Amis, and Sydney Scoggins(6th place). The Men’s 200 Medley Relay came in third with another 6A-7A State Cut. Ethan Wan, Jackson Rogers, Cal Shockley, and Ryan McNeill swam on that relay.
Mary Coomer, Abby Amis, Sasha Young, and Sydney Scoggins placed 8th in the Women’s 200 Free Relay. Matthew Tao, Ryan McNeill, William Ziegler, and Jack Maurer came in 4th place on the Men’s 200 Free Relay.
In the longest relays of the evening, Women’s and Men’s 400 Free Relays, the women finished 3rd, and the men finished 2nd. The women were Mary Coomer, Victoria Moffet, Caroline Ayers, and Emily Eichstaedt. The men were Ethan Wan, Jack Maurer, Jackson Rogers, and Cal Shockley, in a 6A-7A State Cut time.
Best times of the season were made by Aayushi Patel(50 Free), Sydney Scoggins(50 Free), Matthew Tao(50 Free), Victor Balch(50 Free),Sasha Young(100 Free),Mary Coomer(100free), Emily Eichstaedt(100 Free) Sophie Maurer(100 Breast), and William Ziegler(100 Fly). In the longest individual event, the 500 Free, Caroline Ayers swam a best time and her 4th Sectional Cut time.
On the divers side, Anna Cate Goodson placed 4th, Mallory Holland placed 6th, and Sophie Maurer placed 7th. Way to go ladies!
