Randolph’s swimmers and divers performed extremely well at the State Swim and Dive Meet last weekend in Auburn. This was their first time to compete in the 6A-7A Division. Our swimmers swam with gusto and our divers dove with precision.
Our female divers that placed in the finals were Anna Cate Goodson and Mallory Holland. Anna Cate came in 8th place and Mallory came in 15th place. Their scores helped our girls to place 26th out of 33 girl teams.
Our male diver, David Clary also placed in the finals at State. He came in 11th place. Each diver had to perform eleven dives. Congratulations to them for such an outstanding performance on the one meter diving board.
On the swimming side, our boys came in 13th out of 28 teams. Cal Shockley came in 6th in the 200 and 500 Free. Ethan Wan came in 11th in the 100 Fly and 13th in the 100 Back. The boys Medley Relay placed 10th with Ethan Wan, Jackson Rogers, Cal Shockley, and Ryan McNeill. The boys 200 Free Relay came in 15th with Jack Maurer, Matthew Tao, Ryan McNeill, and Jackson Rogers. Ethan Wan, Jackson Rogers, Jack Maurer, and Cal Shockley swam on the boys 400 Free Relay which came in 13th place. All these boys swam with determination and speed. Congratulations on their swims.
Mary Coomer, Victoria Moffet, Sydney Scoggins, and Emily Eichstaedt swam on the girls 400 Free Relay. They swam a great race and just missed out swimming again in the finals. Congratulations on their effort in the pool.
Thanks to all these swimmers and divers for a job well done representing Randolph in the State meet.
