Boys Varsity Swim and Dive, Girls Varsity Swim and Dive · Swim and Dive Sectionals

Randolph Swim and Dive Team was well represented at Sectionals in Huntsville. It was an outstanding meet for both our two divers and nineteen swimmers. Our women placed 8th out of eighteen teams in Division 6A-7A. Our men placed 6th out of fifteen teams in Division 6A-7A. This was no easy task. Their weeks of hard work paid off over the weekend.

Our divers Anna Cate Goodson and Mallory Holland qualified for The State Meet in December.  They had to perform eleven different dives with grace and precision in order to qualify.  Anna Cate came in second and Mallory was seventh. Their points contributed to our 8th place for women.

Our senior swimmers set the pace over the weekend. Abby Amis swam a personal best time in the 100 Free. Emily Eichstaedt swam a personal best in the 50 Free and on three relays. Victoria Moffet swam a personal best in the 50 Free and on three relays. Jack Maurer swam a personal best in the 100 Fly and on two relays. Jackson Rogers swam a best time that qualified him for State and on three relays. Pun Somboon swam a 50 Free near his best time. Matthew Tao swam a personal best in the 50 Free and on three relays. Ethan Wan swam a best time in the 100 Back and Breast that qualified him for State and on two relays.

Several other swimmers helped to contribute to our significant performance. They were William Ziegler who swam a best time in the 50 Free and on two relays. Sasha Young swam a personal best in the 50 and 100 Free. Lillian Sowash gave her race in the 100 Back all she had after being sick for several days. Josey Fann swam a personal best in the 50 Free and 100 Breast and on one relay. Greer Heritage swam a personal best in the 50 and 100 Free. Preston Heritage swam her 200 Free close to some of her best split of the season. Caroline Ayers swam a best time in the 200 Free and on two relays.

These 7th graders helped to complete a fun weekend with many fast swims. They were Betsy King who swam a best time in the 100 and 200 Free and on two relays. Ellis McGraw swam a personal best in the 200 and 500 Free and on one relay. Kat Sawyer swam a best time in the 200 IM and 100 Breast. Andrew Derrick rounded our team out with best swims in the 200 Free and 100 Back.
