Raiders News · Raider Rally News February 12, 2021

Whether it be Band, Cheer, Dance and Football on Fall Fridays, Basketball and Cheer Winter Weekends or Baseball, Soccer and Softball Spring Weekends, the Garth Campus is where the Randolph Community comes together to have fun while cheering on our Raiders! The Raider Rally News will keep you informed regarding all of our varsity programs. #OneRandolph

Randolph’s Boys Basketball team came away with a thrilling overtime victory Wednesday night in the Area Semifinal game against St. John Paul II Catholic High School. For a recap of the game, click here: Raiders Headed to Area Championship Game after Overtime Win

The victory automatically qualifies the Raiders for the state playoffs (Tuesday, Feb. 16, opponent/location TBD), but first comes the Area Championship game Saturday night (Feb. 13) at Westminster Christian against the #1 seed Wildcats (6:00 start). If allotted tickets don’t sell out, general admission tickets will go on sale while they last at www.GoFan.co and the GoFan app at 4:00 today. AHSAA manages this process to maintain only 20% capacity protocols.

Last Friday was a big day for the Lady Raiders basketball team and the Randolph Indoor Track teams at the 4A-5A State Championships. The Girls’ team finished 3rd overall with a state championship-winning relay team, and the boys finished 7th overall. Read more about these events in the stories linked below.

SPRING SEASON

It certainly doesn’t feel like it this weekend, but the spring season is underway, and just like fall and winter, it will look different due to the pandemic conditions. Please click on the links below for more details, but here are some highlights:

COVID-19 Gameday Protocols (Spring Season): This page will cover all the continued screening, masking, distancing guidelines, but hosting events for eight teams, using three venues, all on the same campus during a pandemic calls for some unique parameters around ticket allocation and purchasing processes. Read about all of this and more on this page.

GoFan Digital Ticket Info: Randolph tickets are now completely digital using the GoFan.com platform. Cash will no longer be accepted for tickets to athletic events. Concessions will continue to take credit/debit cards and cash, but event tickets will now be a cashless process. Click on this page for more info related to the technical aspects of how to buy tickets, how to access and share tickets, and general FAQs.

Volunteer Information: Due to pandemic conditions, we do not require each family to volunteer for one shift during the season. Read this page to see HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT RANDOLPH ATHLETICS BY VOLUNTEERING AND/OR BY CONTRIBUTING MONEY THROUGH THE “OPT-OUT’ OPTION that helps provide workers for these shifts. These shifts are vital because all 26 Randolph athletic programs benefit from ticket and concession revenue. We appreciate all the families that have already used the “opt-out” option (some even made multiple contributions!) to help support our “Raider Reps” program that allows faculty members to supplement their income by working these shifts.

The Lady Raider basketball team finished their regular season on high note last Friday night which you can read about by clicking: 35-13 victory over Whitesburg Christian Academy
And just like that, Indoor Track & Field season is over.  The girls finished 3rd, behind Brewbaker Tech High School (the winner).  The boys finished a strong 7th place, with UMS Wright winning the state championship.  Read more…
