Boys Varsity Track, Girls Varsity Track · Girls Track and Field capture Runner-Up in a thrilling finish

The girls stepped up and in a thrilling finish, captured the runner-up team place by only half a point over Montgomery Academy, Randolph 65.5; Montgomery Academy 65. Brooks High School (Killen, AL) won the team title with 75 points. Kylie Meyer took the gold medal in the 300m hurdles with a time of 47.70! The girls were led by Grayson Brinkmeier, Emily Creekmore, Hye Rhee Kim, Kayton Stanton, Kylie Meyer, Lauren Kronk, Sophia White, Parmida Amiri, Armita Amiri, and Sarah Kate Mitchell. We are so proud of these girls! It has been a very long week, but it was well worth the fatigue and hard effort.

The boys fought hard but unfortunately had to settle for 3rd with 51 points. Bibb County HS and Anniston got 1st and 2nd with 80 and 68 points respectively. They were led by Grayson Davenport, Drew Stanley, Jace Crisler, Nic Strong, Zach Takacs, David Coomer, and Carson Greer. We are so proud of our boys for giving it their all and finishing strong.

We are so proud of all the accomplishments that these two teams have achieved! We will miss our seniors tremendously, but thankfully we don’t lose too many returners for the 2022 outdoor season. The future is very bright! We look forward to turning red maps into blue maps! Go raiders!
