Game Recap

The Varsity Boys hosted the 6A Florence Falcons and played to a 2-2 draw. The game was exciting from the start and the boys had to battle back from a goal deficit twice. The Falcons opened the scoring in the first half with an incredible goal from 20 yards into the upper 90. The Raider didn’t take long to get the goal back. Freshman, Sam Hartley, sped past the Falcons defense and tied the game. It was Sam’s first goal as a Randolph Raider. The game was physical and fast and both teams were pressuring the others goal. Falcons scored again midway through the first half taking a 2-1 lead. Again the boys found the equalizer when Sam Hartley found Oliver Minton making a great run. Oliver took one touch to setup his shot and then buried it far post for the game tying goal. All of the scoring took place in the first half but it wasn’t from a lack of opportunities. Freshman, Parker League, had a great look at the goal and forced the goalie to make a great save. The Falcons also pressured the Raider defense. Led by Senior Captains Goalie Boe Santos, Center Defender Jake Teachey, and Defensive Mid Saahil Katyal kept the Falcons from scoring again. The Raiders out shot the Falcons 10 – 6.
