Raiders selected for 4A, All-Area 14 Team

Randolph centerfielder Sam Kimel has been named the Class 4A, Area 14 Player of the Year by member coaches. The Mississippi College signee hit .440 with 13 doubles, four homers, two triples and 24 RBIs. He drew 16 walks and stole 11 bases. Kimel has been a first-team All-State selection the past two seasons as a designated hitter.

The Randolph Raiders Baseball team head into the 4A state playoffs as area runner up. The 17-7 Raiders will travel to West Limestone High School for a best of 3 series.
