It’s time for the 2019 Southern Soccer Challenge April 5 & 6

The 2019 Southern Soccer Challenge (SSC) will be played April 5 & 6, at Huntsville High School (2304 Billie Watkins St SW, Huntsville, AL 35801), featuring eight (8) teams from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee and Oklahoma.  Each team is scheduled to play three full-length matches over the two-day competition, with the opening round determining the Cup and Medal flights.  Winners

The Randolph Varsity Boy’s Soccer team traveled to Birmingham this past weekend to open the season in the Lakeshore Shootout.  After being moved up to the 6A classification this year, the boys elected to play in the gold bracket against all 6A teams. In the first game the Raiders played top 10 ranked Chelsea High School.

Raider soccer ends another season with a championship trophy and a recognition from the City of Huntsville. Thursday evening at the city council meeting, Steve Ivey (Director of Parks & Recreation ) and Mayor Battle recognized the team for their victory at state and awarded each player and coach with a City of Huntsville Certificate of Commendation.
